The Enneagram Popularity Rankings — All 27 Subtypes

Charm isn't evenly distributed. The sexual 7 and social 2 are walking dopamine; the self-preservation 5 would honestly rather not be seen. Ranked by how easy each subtype is to like.

Likeability isn't a moral ranking — it's mostly about how much of your energy points outward. Subtypes that lead with warmth, play, or charm read as instantly easy company. The ones that lead with standards, withdrawal, or intensity take longer to warm up to — and are often worth the wait.

Here are all 27 subtypes ranked by sheer how-nice-to-be-around. Read the number as a rough share of people who'd call that subtype easy company.

What it's really measuring

  • The top is dominated by the sexual (SX) and social (SO) instincts — both aim energy straight at other people.
  • Self-preservation types sit lower not because they're unpleasant, but because they aren't performing for the room.
  • The 1s near the bottom aren't disliked — they're holding everyone (themselves first) to a standard that reads as distance.

Low on this list is not a flaw — one 5w4 you've earned beats ten people who like everybody. Curious which subtype you actually are? The Soul Forge deep quiz places you in minutes.

Strictly for fun — a playful read of the subtypes, not a clinical assessment.
