Under the giving is a deal the 2 made with itself a long time ago: if I'm indispensable, no one will ever leave. So it pours into everyone else and quietly files its own needs under 'later,' until 'later' never comes and the resentment leaks out sideways.

- Empathy pinned to the ceiling: the 2 feels the room's mood shift before the room does.
- Social runs high too — it knows everyone, remembers your kid's name, and works the connections like a switchboard.
- Assertiveness reads low, but don't be fooled: the 2 has a clear agenda, it's just wrapped in a casserole.

Lean on a 2 too hard and it swings to 8: the sweetness drops, the boundaries come out swinging, and suddenly the helper is demanding to know why nobody helps it. At its best it moves to 4: it stops performing warmth and lets itself actually have needs, name them out loud, and be loved for who it is rather than what it does. A healthy 2 gives from overflow, not from an IOU.
